Tribal Funk on tour: Indigenous Inuit band comes to Iceland

Delve into the culture, traditions, and the arts of indigenous life in the Arctic Circle with Pamyua, a flourishing Inuit band known for their funky music.

Bringing Inuit music to the world, Pamyua use indigenous drumsongs from Alaska and Greenland together with moving vocals that encourage listeners to “embrace relationships with honor, humility, and tolerance.”

The taking place in Reykjavik, Iceland, this October will showcase the burgeoning work of indigenous artists from around the Arctic Circle. Alongside traditional displays of arts and crafts, there will be evening concerts by the popular Inuit band, Pamyua.

Known for their upbeat tribal funk style, they will be closing the show each night with memorable and lively performances.

Tickets cost 2500 ISK ($19) for standing and 3500 ISK ($26) for seated and can be bought from Midi.is.
