Landsbanki takes over Domino’s Pizza

Landsbanki has taken over operation of Pizza-Pizza ehf, the Icelandic franchise holder for Domino’s Pizza, and all of its shares in co-operation with Domino’s Pizza International.

The move has been made with the usual statement that it is subject to competition authority approval. Pizza-Pizza ehf. runs 14 Domino’s in Iceland, including three outside the capital city: Akranes, Akureyri and Keflavik.

The Landsbanki website states that the bank intends to appoint a new board at the company, to reorganise its finances and debts over the next weeks and then prepare to sell it on. At this stage the bank predicts it will begin sales procedures by the end of June.
